'So why are some sites receive better search results than others? I promised to tell you the secret of search engine optimization. The answer is one word: CONTENT. How’s that for anti-climax? Seriously though, I attribute our search engine success to the fact that Be A Design Group creates lots of our own original content.
So what does this mean to graphic designers? Well, at some point, your client is going to ask you what they can do to improve their search ranking. Here are five tips that you can give your clients to help them improve their search rank.
1. Don’t Fake Your Content.
The best way to gain recognition from search engines is to create unique and valuable content. Google can only be fooled so much by spam, fake links, and artificial inflation trickery. If you want the prize, you have to deliver the goods. That means you need to fill the site with relevant and valuable information. You need to corner the market on what you know best. Don’t ever let your client think that spam is a good way to generate business....'
