Search Advertising Revenues Continues Growth at Expense of Traditional Media Advertising


The growth in search engine advertising revenues is having a serious impact on the profit margins of the major traditional media advertising forms. According to a report released by research and analysis firm Outsell, the growth in search advertising revenues is clearly at the expense of the largest traditional media firms.

As outlined in Search Dominates New Advertising Spending, changes are already being seen within the traditional media sector, such as recent marketing and advertising lay-offs at the New York Times, which also acquired the online firm About.com.
