Keywords and Target Audience - Part 2
This is Part 2 of a 4 part series for targeting your website. First we talked about Prominance, and now we'll discuss Proximity.
There are search engines that use "keyword proximity" in their algorithms to rank your site. By having your keywords close together but making sense can increase your ranking. So, a sentance that has "sports Blog" together can rank better than a sentance "a Blog about sports".
Also where the keywords are can also help. So closer to the top/left the better you can rank. Put yourself in a Spiders shoes, what is it going to see first and what importance would that play on the ranking of the site.
