Double Trust = double trouble?

We're all familiar with Dogpile and other search engine result aggregators, but here's something different. It's a Northwestern University class project to aggregate results from just two engines, Yahoo and Google: Double Trust.

I have been playing with it for a couple of weeks and have not reached a decision on its usefulness yet. I'll post some firm conclusions by next week, though.

Does something in the Double Trust approach strike you as useful from a searcher perspective? Drop a comment below.

Imagine the hair-pulling this could cause ranking consultants if the model propagates.

p.s. I found another site that allows dual NEWS searches on Yahoo and Google called Newsiness. Have a look.
