10 Scene modes (Night, Portrait, Scene mode: Children, Landscape, Macro, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, and Beach/Snow) are available for taking pictures under challenging conditions so that you can achieve more natural-looking colours in many circumstances. Up to 8 pictures can be taken continuously and a self-timer function with 2 and 10 second delays is provided. The exposure compensation value is set to ±2EV (adjustable in 0.5EV increments). This means you can adjust the exposure to get the shot how you want it.
Movie Recording and Playback at High Quality
For clearer sharper movies, this camera uses a high compression, high quality movie format – at 24 frames per second. In VGA (640×480), you can play your movie on your TV without any degradation of image quality, and enjoy it in a screen size twice as large as a computer screen. Because this digital camera supports up to 24 frames per second, you can view a smooth movie with natural-looking colours. You can record voice and movies for as long as the available recording time in the memory allows. With the pause function during recording these features make this digital camera a perfect substitute for a camcorder.
More Natural-Looking Colours by Controlling White Balance
This digital camera provides White Balance functions (Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Tungsten, and Custom) so that you can achieve more natural-looking colour reproduction under any light conditions. Additionally, Red, Green and Blue enhancements enables you to control colours in the way you want.
Other Functions Voice Recording and Voice Memo
This camera can be used as a digital voice recorder, and you can record voice for up to one hour. Additionally, you can add your voiceover to a stored still image for up to 10 seconds.
Interface
The arrangement of buttons, such as the Mode dial for selecting a shooting mode and the 5-function button for selecting functions, is user-friendly so that you can operate them with ease. In addition, you can set the menus easily and quickly through the Move & Set function. The interface has been enhanced, focusing on access to the operating buttons and frequently-used functions so that you can use a variety of digital camera functions with ease. If you want to get more creative you can also employ the exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO functions by using the +/- button on the back of the camera.There is even a reflector on the front of the camera so you can take better composed pictures of yourself.
