The launch of its new Digimax 370 and 430 digital cameras at PMA 2004 underscores Samsung's commitment to utilizing the same proven strategy in the digital still camera space.

Digimax 430
An economical 4.0 megapixel auto focus camera with 2.8x optical and 4x digital zoom, the Samsung Digimax 430 has an approximate street price of $229.99. The 430 has a 1/2.5” CCD that captures crisp images, and a 1.5” color TFT LCD that enables users to quickly and easily review and preview. The superb 5cm macro mode allows users to capture crisp, clear images of subject matter as close as 5cm from the camera’s lens.
Supporting eight different power sources (AA Alkaline, Digimax I-Pack, NI-MH, CR-V3, Ni-Cd, 2 x Ni-Zn, 2 x Ni-Mn and AC adapter) the Digimax 430 offers numerous customizable scene modes Children, Landscape, Close-up, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow. Its multiple shooting modes include Auto, Manual, My Set, Scene and Night Scene. The camera’s RGB Color Effect mode allows the user to control the levels of red, green and blue in images, greatly enhancing the creative capabilities of the camera. The Digimax 430 also supports both SD/MMC and Memory Stick Duo formats for external memory via its unique Multi Memory Card Slot. Digimax 430 users can capture movie clips with sound at a rate of up to 30fps.
With multiple flash modes, adjustable white balance and automatic ISO sensitivity, the Digimax 430 truly has everything consumers have come to expect from a high-end 4 megapixel digital camera – except the price tag. USB and user selectable NSTC/PAL connectors allow for high-speed transfer to a PC. The Digimax 430 has 32MB of internal memory, and also features a built in Multi Memory Card Slot that is memory Stick Duo and SD/MMC compatible.
