The Olympus SP-700 is a 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x Optical Zoom and large 3 inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixels.
The SP700 features 24 scene modes, Macro mode at up to 1cm, VGA movie recording at 30 frames per second, 11 megabytes of internal memory and PictBridge printing compatibility.

With the SP-700, capturing sharp, vibrant images whilst out and about couldn’t be easier, thanks to its fast response and start-up times, and integrated guide function. Furthermore, the 3 inch Sunshine LCD with 230,000 pixels means you and your friends can easily view the images at the same time directly on the camera. Its Compare and Shoot function enables users to check and compare results before re-shooting or adjusting settings if necessary, helping to ensure you will never take a bad photograph again. Compare and Shoot function:
The camera’s functionality is enhanced with a range of 24 scene modes. They include an underwater shooting mode to be used in conjunction with the PT-013 underwater case, Red-eye Fix, and Macro or Super Macro Mode for shooting from just 1cm away. A range of additional features, including multi-shot, Label Shot, Calendar function, 2in1 and panorama (when using an Olympus xD-Picture Card) provides more creative users with the opportunity to experiment with a variety of special effects.

Megapixel has posted a review of the Olympus SP-700 where they write - 'In summary, the SP-700 is an interesting camera that is simple to use and which has the advantage of a large monitor, giving the user an excellent preview of the image about to be captured. Its 6-megapixel images can be printed out to 7 x 9.4 inch (18 x 24 cm) size at 300 dpi without any problem, and its automatic capabilities should appeal to those that want a sleek, compact, and fuss-free camera to carry along anytime and anywhere.'
