Concord DVx 6-in-1 Digital Video Camera.

Concord Press Release
COLOGNE, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2004 - “Swiss Army Knife of Digital Cameras” Offers Unsurpassed Functionality Including: Digital Video, Digital Still, Digital Voice Recorder, Stereo MP3 Player, SD Card Reader & Flashlight

Concord Camera Corp. (“Concord”) (Nasdaq:LENS), a leader in award-winning, high-quality, affordably priced digital cameras, unveiled today at Photokina the DVx - a 6-in-1 multi-functional digital video camera. The DVx features a 230 degrees rotating lens with high-quality MPEG-4 video compression and a 2 Megapixel digital still camera, (up to 4 Megapixels through in-camera interpolation). The DVx offers consumers the ultimate in portability and versatility, featuring a stereo MP3 player, high-sensitivity digital voice recorder, SD card reader, and LED flashlight - all in one three ounce pocket-sized device.

“All of these features make the DVx by Concord the ultimate multifunctional digital camera for photo-active consumers of any age. It's especially easy-to-use and quite habit forming - almost impossible to put down,” said Jeff Mandell, VP Worldwide Marketing.

Expanding their product offerings of easy-to-use, ultra-portable, multi-functional devices, Concord's DVx reduces the number of electronic products to carry along when traveling, and is perfect for consumers with an on-the-go lifestyle. Ultra slim and stylish with dimensions of only 4.1“ x 0.6” x 2.4“ (103mm x 16mm x 62mm), the DVx is currently available in two colors - white and charcoal gray. One of the first digital cameras with a removable face plate, the DVx enables the user to custom decorate the face plate, as is the current fashion craze in cell phones that typically have this feature. DVx's unique 230(degree) rotating lens lets the user turn the lens upwards, downwards and backwards to shoot pictures from almost every angle. The rotating lens also enables the user take a self-portrait while framing the shot - no more rushing to get back in the shot as with self-timers. The DVx's bright LED flash-light can be used for extra lighting during movie-taking, or as an all-purpose flash-light.

The DVx by Concord includes a 32MB SD card, and has a hidden compartment under the face plate for storing an additional card, so extra memory is always at hand. The camera also functions as an SD card-reader. Any music, video, photo or other file contained in the SD card can be transferred directly from the camera to the computer via the included USB cable -- making the camera an easy-to-use, portable SD card reader. In addition, the DVx also plays MP3 stereo music recorded on removable SD cards, which can be listened to in private with the included earphones, or shared with the friends through the built-in speaker.

With large capacity or additional SD cards, recording time is limitless. With a 256 MB SD card, continuous MPEG-4 movie with sound at TV quality can be captured for up to 68 minutes. With the included high-sensitivity digital voice recorder, 18 hours of voice can also be recorded -- for a convenient ”always-there when you need it“ voice recorder, perfect for meetings, interviews, and lectures. The voice recorder has the added feature of 5 different levels of voice recording quality to choose from.

The DVx by Concord is more than a Digital Video Camera, it is also a 2 Megapixel digital still camera with all of the standard digital camera features that Concord is known for, such as the popular 5 color effects for more creative picture taking, user adjustable LCD brightness for different lighting conditions, selectable white balance, center weighted metering, an array of flash settings, a 4X digital zoom and high quality 1.5” LTPS 120k pixel color LCD offering higher LCD quality, lower power consumption and a brighter LCD image than the standard 80k pixel LCD.

The DVx by Concord is expected to be available in November 2004, priced at $199.99 through Concord retailers. It is compatible with Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME and XP. The camera comes with a 32MB SD card, Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery and AC adaptor, earphones, strap, USB and AV cables, and video and digital camera image-manipulation software.
