Sony Ericsson S700

sonyericsson_s700_1.jpgThis week has seen Sony Ericsson announce 5 new Camera Phones. They believe that this is a market that will continue to grow an this latest series of announcements points to their long term commitment to their Camera Phone product line. Heading the list of new camera phones to be announced this week is the Sony Ericsson S700 (pictured).

The S700 is a 1.3 megapixel camera with a swivel opening design that enables it to be held horizontally - making it more like a traditional digital camera. sonyericsson_s700_6.jpg

It has a 2.3 inch display, 8x digital zoom, a flash, mp3 and movie features as well as all the normal mobile phone features plus email to enable sharing of photos not only via MMS but via the internet. It is also compatible with the Memory Stick Duo which means storage and sharing of hundreds of images is possible with real ease.

sonyericsson_s700_2.jpgThis is a phone that points the direction that Camera Phones are headed. It will not compete directly with too many quality digital cameras, but is sure to tempt those looking for a low end digital camera that incorporates some other useful devices.
