Like others in this series the look of the camera is quite traditional and chunky. It has a solid feel to it and the controls are quite well laid out and menus are easy to navigate.
Image quality was good in macro mode but only average in other modes. Color are not always accurately reproduced and it struggled in some lighting conditions. Manual controls are limited to ISO speed, AE metering and white balance.
This camera is powered by two AA batteries which don't last very long - users will need to keep some in reserve to ensure it is always ready to use.
As a lower end camera the 735 meets and even exceeds most expectations however if quality images are required pay a little more.
