Sony Ericsson T650
Sony Ericsson T650 Press Release
Sony Ericsson announces two new phones that are borne out of their designers love for the materials and colours found in the natural world. The Sony Ericsson T650 fuses illumination effects with a stainless steel finish and scratch-proof mineral glass, whilst the S500, a slim slider phone, reveals desktop and menu themes that change over time.
The Sony Ericsson T650 is all about detail. The illumination effects on the keypad and the sides of the phone interact with animations on the screen. As these animations move across the display they set off waves of light around the keypad, which stand-out against the reflective stainless steel finish.
Take a look at the Sony Ericsson S500 and expect the unexpected. Open the 14mm slim slider to reveal colour accents and ever changing desktop themes. You set the in-phone themes and external light effects to change when you want - with the seasons, as day turns to night or when the weekend begins.
“It’s the details that set these phones apart,” explains Steve Walker, Head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson. “Our designers have taken inspiration from nature and the Nordic light to produce phones that are beautiful to look at and alive with energy. They appeal to those that want to celebrate their individuality and express themselves through their choice of phone.”

Sony Ericsson T650 Reviews
CNET Asia reviews the Sony Ericsson T650i and writes, "While the T650i isn't part of the Cyber-shot series, it comes with a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera and LED photolight. What we're worried about was scratching the surface of the camera module since it's not protected by a lid, nor is it flush with the back of the device. Fortunately, it doesn't protrude out enough to cause concern. A secondary camera sits on the front above the 1.9-inch QVGA LCD screen for 3G video calls."
MobileBurn reviews the Sony Ericsson T650 and writes, "Let's talk about the camera controls first. The viewfinder can be called up by holding the shutter key at standby, or selecting the camera icon in the main menu. Start up takes only 2 seconds, and the button response on the Cybershot-esque menu is instantaneous. Even without that branding, the T650 still gives you control over various Scene modes, white balance, and metering settings. The shutter sound cannot be turned off in our Hong Kong version of the T650."
CNET UK reviews the Sony Ericsson T650i and writes, "As the handset supports 3G it has a secondary camera for video calling. The VGA camera at the front is so discreetly placed you have to look closely to actually notice that it's there, but the 3.2-megapixel offering on the rear is more prominent. Thanks to the autofocus and LED flash it produces good results even when working in relatively low light, so it's definitely something you'll make plenty of use of."
Pocket-lint reviews the Sony Ericsson T650i and writes, "...This thin design - which is almost as thin as the Walkman W880 (just 3mm in it) is marred only slightly by the protruding autofocus 3.2MP camera lens on the back...As for performance, it's business as usual with good image quality from the camera, a good selection of software and an interface that is easy to use."
3G reviews the Sony Ericsson T650i and writes, "As with the Sony Ericsson K810i, the T650i holds a killer 3.2-megapixel camera and it comes with an endless list of facilities to play around with. As well as auto-focus, the T650i features macro focus, allowing good-quality close-up shots and infinite focus, which takes sharper shots. Other effects include black and white, negative, sepia and solarise...The self-timer may prove useful, as may the ‘burst’ shoot mode that takes four shots in quick succession. Although, with the likes of the new LG Viewty offering the same function but with nine shots, this may not prove to be the T650i’s ultimate selling feature. Pictures can be uploaded straight to free blogging service www.blogger.com within seconds of taking the photo."
Mobile Choice UK reviews the Sony Ericcson T650i and writes, "As with the Sony Ericsson K810i, the T650i holds a killer 3.2-megapixel camera and it comes with an endless list of facilities to play around with. As well as auto-focus, the T650i features macro focus, allowing good-quality close-up shots and infinite focus, which takes sharper shots.
