Sony Ericsson K750i Reviews

InfoSync World reviews the Sony Ericsson K750i camera phone and writes - 'Despite an advanced feature set which includes a high quality camera and similarly high-performance audio player, the Sony Ericsson K750i manages to maintain acceptable battery life. Despite its lack of EDGE for high-speed data, the handset also delivers an excellent overall experience in the communications and messaging departments, rendering it the very best handset to be had at the time of its introduction. In other words, the K750i comes highly recommended.'

MobileBurn reviews the Sony Ericsson K750i and writes - 'In the end, the Sony Ericsson K750 turns out to be simply a fantastic device. In my mind it is the best overall GSM handset available today - and there are a lot of good phones out there now. Its camera is the closest thing to 'real' that I have seen on a phone, and the user interface, music player, and overall design are just wonderful.
I would have loved to have seen better audio quality during calls, and a bit more volume from the speaker in general, but other than that, there is not much to complain about.'

Pocket Lint reviews the Sony Ericsson K750i and writes - 'Overall the K750i is a fantastic. The downsides seem like quibbles when compared with the dramatic improvements made over the K700i. The camera alone would almost sell it to me but combine that with the MP3, the radio, the all-points covered connectivity and the simple Internet set-up and I’m really sold. The technology comers at a price, but Sony Ericsson have always charged a premium for offering a SIM free purchase service, but if you are already a fan of the design as you’ve got an upgrade coming up, this handset will easily see you thought the next few years of multi-media evolution and smart-device wars until the next generation of do-everything handhelds emerge.'

The Daily Grind has a mini user review of the Sony Ericsson K750i and writes - 'By way of a quick review, I like this phone for several reasons. Yes, the camera. ‘Camera’ and ‘phone’ fit together far more coherently than do ‘phone’ and ‘music player’, in my head at least, and this camera is good. Not great, perhaps, but more than good enough for everyday use. Now I just have to remind myself that I’m carrying a camera all the time. My only real niggle about the camera is that it takes the picture about half a second after it plays the amusing synthetic shutter sound, with the result that I have rather a lot of pictures of my feet. But hey, shutter lag is one of the reasons I never bought a compact digital camera, and have been saving for a DSLR.'

DPexpert reviews the Sony Ericsson K750i from the perspective of a digital camera and writes - 'The image quality from this tiny phone is remarkable. Auto exposure is good and detail is excellent. The controls on the phone serve a number of purposes, exemplified by the use of the navigation joystick to control exposure compensation, reviewing pictures and scrolling in enlarged mode.'

Reader K. JOLLIFFE from NSW Australia reviews the Sony Ericsson K750i by writing:

After being a nokia user for years; i recently purchased a K750i. It was between Motorola's v3 or SonyEricsson's K750i.

The k750i immediately appealed to me because of its small size. It really is a beautiful phone. the 2megapixel camera is fantastic. I especially like the panarama 3 shot, with the shadows to line up yr next shot. it is very user friendly. it has a big bright screen. This phone is packed with all the features to make this the best mobile out at the moment.

I love the joystick, but anyone with large fingers will find this keypad hard to use as it is quite small. but myself i have small fingers and really like it!

The bluetooth accessories like the media centre(sold seperately) are great; you can play multimedia from the k750i into your Home Theatre and use the k750i as a remote Control.

Video DJ is a lot of Fun! The Voice Activation Is very handy too. Aero Mission 3D is the best game ive ever played on a mobile!

I'm Extremely Happy with my Sony Ericsson K750I, Its the best mobile ive ever owned by far.....I LOVE IT!

PCMag reviews the Sony Ericsson D750 (the same phone as the Sony Ericsson K750i, except that it's available exclusively on the TMobile network), and had this to say about the phone's camera: "Few phones currently have 2megapixel auto-focus cameras. External shots were good, if occasionally a little saturated, but indoor photos tended to be noisy. The auto-focus was quick, but there is a delay between pressing the shutter and the picture being taken. If you plan to capture your fidgety children, forget it – the camera can’t cope with movement."

Travel writer Chris Mitchell reviews the Sony Ericsson 750i, and is impressed with the performance of the phone's camera: "The camera is a real pleasure to use - you slide back the lens cover and the screen becomes your viewfinder - every one of my friends who've played with it have all said, independent of one another, "it's very James Bond". The pictures are crisp and clean and the memory stick holds at least 100 images (that's the most I've saved on it before transferring them to my PC). The phone comes with a flash attachment which I haven't tried out and in truth, am unlikely to, because I don't want extra clutter to carry about."

Sony Ericsson K750i News Release

- The new Sony Ericsson K750i 2 Megapixel camera phone delivers sharp pictures with great print quality

The Sony Ericsson K750i, announced today, is a 2 Megapixel imaging phone that captures the sharpest, clearest pictures with superb colour reproduction for printing, sharing and viewing. This phone also delivers fast, open connectivity and contains a generous memory to make it simple for users to store and share their favourite images. Such imaging excellence combined with a rich suite of business, entertainment and communication features, makes the K750i the ideal companion for a busy working and social life.

“Nowadays 65% of Sony Ericsson’s consumers are choosing phones with cameras in them, which shows that there is significant demand for phones to be used as imaging tools,” says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. “What’s more we are successfully applying Sony’s imaging expertise to the development of camera phones, a key example of this being the S700, which is receiving awards for its imaging capabilities time after time. The K750i builds on this, and given the enthusiastic response to our imaging products we have already received from the market, we fully expect it to be an outright winner.”

Following on from the success of last year’s S700, Sony Ericsson has once again built upon the colossal imaging know-how of its parent company Sony Corporation. The K750i is rich with features that are now common in stand alone digital cameras but new to mobile phones, such as Autofocus, 4x digital zoom, red eye reduction and an intuitive user interface. The camera operates horizontally for stable, well framed shots. If used with the Sony Ericsson PhoneFlash MXE-60 it is possible to take pictures in the dark from several meters away and it also helps reducing red eye.

Images can be shared with a host of other devices thanks to Memory Stick Duo, Bluetooth and Infrared. Also a USB cable comes with the phone for fast transfer of pictures, video and music to and from a PC. There’s no need to use a PC to print photos as images can be sent wirelessly to a Bluetooth printer or they can be transferred via a Memory Stick to a compatible printer or to a high street photo kiosk. In combination with the Bluetooth Media Centre MMV-200, the K750i can be used to view pictures and videos on a TV screen and easily share them with friends and family in a fun and entertaining way.

The K750i can store a sizeable picture library as memory is plentiful and expandable. Featuring an internal 32MB memory, which can hold nearly 100 full size pictures and an external memory slot which accepts Memory Stick Duo up to 2GB, enough for more than 6,000 shots. A 64MB Memory Stick Duo is supplied with the phone.

The business tools designed into the K750i make it the ideal working companion and will appeal to companies looking to provide their workforce with a fully featured mobile phones that deliver fast rates of data and image transfer.

Meanwhile, away from the office the K750i provides a great amount of fun and entertainment. Fast and smooth games play is assured with the 3D Java games engine while the integrated MP3 player and FM radio provide music and entertainment with great sound quality.
