Samsung Tocco F480 Reviews
CNET UK reviews the Samsung Tocco F480 and writes, "There's plenty more to like about the Tocco. It supports HSDPA so you get fast Web access at speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and there are dual cameras for video calling. The main camera is also very impressive. It's a 5-megapixel model and besides autofocus and an LED photo light, it has face detection and smile detection. The latter automatically takes a picture when it spots a grinning mug in the shot. Add in extras like an FM tuner, RSS reader and 223MB of onboard memory and microSD card slot and you've got a feature packed handset."
3G reviews the Samsung Tocco and writes, "Although it's true that so far there isn't a camera phone that matches a decent compact digital camera for image quality, the Tocco's camera has a lot going for it, with a five-megapixel lens on board. And there's the convenience of being able to quickly upload your images to a website through the 3G phone network. But there are photographic advantages too. An image stabiliser helps in low-light situations, face detection homes in and focuses on faces, and there's a smile shutter where you hold the camera and when your subject grins, the phone takes the picture itself. The first time you try this it's a little freaky, but it is a neat addition to the camera's features. Add in scene modes and camcorder functions, and the Tocco has a lot going for it as a capable camera phone."
Trusted Reviews has a review of the Samsung Tocco F480 and writes, "Indoors with the phone set on auto mode, and under normal household lighting, the camera fared less well. The coloured dish photo is good, but not outstanding. Its background should be white and its colours aren't quite as vibrant as they could be. The outdoor chair photo is, not surprisingly given what has gone before, very acceptable. Detail is good, and the camera didn't have too much trouble dealing with the parts of the subject that were in shade or bright sun."
