Samsung SGH-Z300
Infosync World previews the Samsung SGH-Z300 and writes - 'Like its recently introduced siblings, the SGH-Z130 and SGH-Z500, the SGH-Z300 offers an ergonomically sound and surprisingly large keypad with good tactile feedback and a so-so blue backlight. Almost flush with the interface, it lets users navigate the limited user interface, behind which runs a 3D accelerator - not that I could see any use for it, though. A microbrowser supporting WAP 2.0 is also present, as is support for J2ME MIDP 2.0. '
Also in the press release from Samsung was reference to the Samsung SGH-Z300 - another phone that little is known about. The press release simply describes the Samsung SGH-Z300 as:
'SGH-Z300 : Includes a music player powered by 3D stereo sound through dual speakers, plus 64 polyphonic ringtones, 1-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, external memory and intenna folder design.'
More details on the Samsung SGH-Z300 will be published here as they come to hand.
Samsung SGH-Z300 and writes about the phone's camera: "The Z308 is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel CMOS main camera and a VGA resolution CMOS sub camera. You can take pictures from 1152x864 to 176x144 pixel resolution. The usual color effects, frames, and shooting modes are all available. The relatively advance settings such as white balance and ISO setting (from 100 to 800 or auto) are also in place. As you would have expected from a simple CMOS module, the camera is only average. Digital noise is especially apparent in darker shooting conditions, and the external LED flash is not much of an improvement from previous models. Unlike most Japanese phones, the shutter sound can be turned off indirectly by setting the phone to silent mode. The external OLED screen can also act as a self-portrait mirror, though color accuracy is unsatisfactory and there is usually about half a second delay. However, compared to most phones on the market, the camera on Z308 is very fast and responsive."
