Samsung SGH-A707 Reviews
PCMag reviews the Samsung SGH-A707 and writes, "Photos taken with the 2MP camera were sharp, but dark; however, videos shot at 176- by 144-pixel resolution and 15 frames per second were actually pretty smooth. There's no time limit on videos, either; you can fill up you entire memory card. You can send and receive photos via Bluetooth or by hooking your phone up to a PC, where it appears as a removable drive. Note that I say PC, not Mac: I couldn't get the phone to appear on a Mac, though I could use Bluetooth or a microSD card reader to move files to and from the A707."
Infosync reviews the Samsung SGH-A707 and writes about the phone's camera: "The 2-megapixel camera on the A707 feels more like an afterthought. Though the camera packs a higher resolution than most phones in its class, our snapshots looked blurry, colors tended to be warmer than reality, and images suffered from a pixilated cloudiness. Transferring files is sluggish, even over the Bluetooth 2.0 connection. Worst of all, the phone stores photos to the memory card in a folder inaccessible to the user, which means you have to use a card reader to sideload them to your PC. "
CNET reviews the Samsung Sync SGH-A707 and writes about the phone's camera: "The Sync has a high-quality, 2-megapixel camera that takes pictures in six resolutions from 1600x1200 down to 240x180. Other features were plentiful and included five quality settings, a night mode, a 2X zoom (not usable at the highest resolution), a multishot option with three speed choices, a mosaic shot mode, three color effects, 20 fun frames, a self-timer, a white balance setting, and three shutter sounds (there's no silent option). We enjoyed the wealth of camera shortcuts, but the camera had a bit of a lag when shifting between options. ... The Sync comes with a healthy 50MB of shared memory for photos, videos, and downloads, but you'd be wise to invest in a MicroSD card. Photo quality was actually good; colors were sharp and lighting was good overall. Video quality was decent, showing less pixilation than we've seen on other camera phones."
PCWorld has a review of the Samsung SGH-a707 and writes, "The Sync has a built-in 2-megapixel digital camera with a fixed-focus lens and no flash or LED illuminator, so low-light pictures look pretty drab. Pictures taken in moderate lighting looked okay, with adequately reproduced colors, but highlights got blown out easily, and most shots were at least slightly fuzzy. The phone captures video in 176 by 144 resolution at 15 frames per second, yielding movies that look fuzzy and choppy; an option lets you limit clips to conform to Cingular's miserly 300KB Multimedia Messaging Service transfer limit."
