O2 XDA Atom
MTekk reviews the XDA Atom and writes about the PDA's camera: "The built-in camera is a true 2 megapixel camera. It has a built-in LED strobe flash, and can take still pictures or short video. Although the camera specs look good on paper, indoor shots are below average - just like all Pocket PC's. Outdoor shots are quite good. The color closely represents the true scene, which is a huge improvement on my old XDA II. There is one downside to this camera and application - the user needs to keep the camera absolutely still while taking the photo, otherwise badly skewed pictures result."
CoolTechZone reviews the O2 XDA Atom and finds the 2.0 megapixel camera disappointing: "The still and video quality is nothing much, and youll mostly end up going on your trips with a dedicated digital camera. For the occasional fun snaps though, the camera might be passable. This is subjective, since we prefer our photographs to be sharp and of excellent quality. You may be more interested in traveling light and might not mind the loss of quality that significant. Either way, take a sample photo to check whether or not it meets your standards."
MobileWhack reviews the O2 XDA Atom and says, about the PDA's camera: "The 2-megapixel camera with flash (1600x1200 pixels) can do video capture a 320x240 pixels. But the camera is very slow, it takes ages to fire up the camera application. The camera has a 8X zoom and the picture on the viewfinder looks really clear. Photo files are stored in the JPEG format and another good thing about the camera is that picture frames are good for livening up your pictures, especially when you want to send a photo to a friend via MMS, or to simply store it on a regular computer or photo website."
Australian IT reviews the O2 XDA Atom, and finds it an appealing handset. About the Pocket PC's camera: "The photo viewing and editing capabilities are also impressive, and while the 2 megapixel camera produces pretty good shots, it suffers from a long shutter lag - so you can forget about capturing the moment."
