Nokia have just launched their new 5140i fitness phone. It comes complete with a 0.3 megapixel camera and dust and splash resistant casing.

'The world's top mobile phone maker Nokia launched a camera phone, the 5140i, targeted at sport enthusiasts, and aims to start shipments in the second quarter, the group said in a statement on Tuesday.
Nokia said the new phone, which includes features such as training results sharing via text messages, has an estimated retail price of 200 euros ($261.3) before subsidies and tax, Nokia said.

“With the Fitness Coach application, the Nokia 5140i offers an 'always-on' personal trainer,” Nokia said, adding it was cooperating with sports instruments and heart rate monitor maker Polar Electro for the phone. '

The Nokia 5140i is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2005.

Info Sync World previews the Nokia 5140i and writes - 'A tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz handset, the 5140i comes with a 'Fitness Coach' application which enables users to track sports performance over time or sharing of results via SMS with coaches or team-mates. As with its predecessor, it is compatible with a range of sports instruments and heart rate monitors from Polar Electro, providing a view to data gathered by instruments from Polar.'
