Nethra Imaging Taking Camera Phones to 3 Megapixels
Nethra Imaging is developing a new chipset to take cameras embedded in phones to 3 megapixel. The new chipsets will focus on using lower power and delivering higher resolution pictures. According to the company press release "camera phone market is expected to surpass 860 million units in 2009", and having a higher resolution camera will certainly give a serious edge. I love my camera phone and the only thing I wish was better was the image quality. Looks like someone is listening.
