Motorola Q9m

Motorola Q9mThe Motorola Q9m features a 1.3 megapixel camera as well as the following:

* display: 2.4", 320x240, 65k-color TFT LCD screen
* Bluetooth
* CDMA, 850, 1900
* 1xRTT, EVDO
* 312 MHz processor

PCMag reviews the Motorola Q9m and writes, "The Q9m's 1.3-megapixel camera is also pretty much identical to the Q's, which was pretty unexciting. Pictures are a bit soft-focus, with a tendency to blow out bright areas, though they're generally acceptable. The shutter delay is brief at 0.4 seconds, but the camera then takes a second or so to recover, which makes the delay feel much longer. The video mode might as well not be there at all, as it takes low-res 176-by-144 videos at a useless 10 frames per second."

The Associated Press reviews the Moto RAZR2 Q9m and writes "Sadly, the outside screen is a mostly wasted feature, though one of us liked it for controlling music. The touch-sensitive buttons are vexing to use, and poorly programmed. For instance, you can activate the 2-megapixel camera and take pictures, but only of yourself, because both the screen and the lens will be facing you. And then you can't get out of camera mode using the outside screen — you have to open the phone and hit a button."

Digital Trends reviews the Moto RAZR2 Q9m and writes, "As with many Smartphones, the weakest feature is the camera. Having 1.3 megapixels isn’t inherently bad, especially with all the other great traits in the Q9m, but the addition of a flash seems to add nothing to picture quality."

Brighthand reviews the Moto RAZR2 Q9m and writes, "Naturally, the Motorola Q9m has a built-in camera. At 1.3 megapixels I wouldn't recommend it as the only camera you take on vacation, but it's perfect for snapping images for your MMS messages...It has an LED flash, but don't think for a second this is going to light up a group of people at dimly lit night club. It's able to make a marginal picture slightly less marginal. but that's as far as it goes."

MobileBurn reviews the Moto RAZR2 Q9m and writes, "The 1.3 megapixel camera on the Motorola Q 9m features an incredibly bright LED light. The LED light, however, does not flash when you take a picture; it just remains on as long as you have the camera application open. It also remains on when shooting a video. Video length is 30 seconds by default, though you can change that to be limited only by the size of available storage space...The picture quality, for a 1.3 megapixel, is decent if you have good lighting. When taking a picture, the entire screen becomes the viewfinder, though there is an option to reduce this to roughly half of the screen. Pressing the right soft key brings up an options menu, while the center key on the d-pad actually snaps the picture. The options menu allows you to configure the flash or self-timer, as well as several other settings such as brightness, resolution, zoom, and white balance. Through this menu you can also switch to video mode."

PDAStreet reviews the Moto RAZR2 Q9m and writes, " On the rear you'll find the lens for the 1.3 megapixel camera, as well as the flash. There's no self-portrait mirror. You need to turn the flash on manually every time you want to use it (there's no automatic mode), which is tedious, but on the plus side it makes a good flashlight for emergency situations...There's no dedicated button for accessing the camera. The left side holds a microSD card slot (card not included)."
