Motorola PEBL V6

Motorola-Pebl-V6

Motorola PEBL V6 - The Motorola PEBL is indisputably elegant with its round and smooth shape. This unique clam has a responsive opening mechanism that allows users to operate and open the phone one-handed and comes in a highly polished metal finish adding to its effortlessly cool appearance. With integrated Bluetooth wireless technology, a 5MB memory and VGA camera, this triband phone is an understated hi-tech package.

InfoSync World reviews/previews the Motorola PEBL V6 and writes - 'For some reason or other, I have a feeling women may take a particular liking to the PEBL V6 as its styling is far more subtle than that of the RAZR V3 and the SLVR V8. That being said, I couldn't find a fellow male visitor who didn't like the design - and with a price tag that may very well be lower than the RAZR and SLVR models, Motorola could very well have a hit on its hands with the PEBL V6.'

Update: Engadget reports that the Motorola PEBL is now available at T-Mobile for $299.99 with a one-year contract.

Mobiledia reviews the Motorola PEBL U6 and writes about the phone's camera: "For printable photos, 1.3-megapixels are a required minimum, far from the PEBL's 0.3-megapixel lens. Rather gritty and blurry, the camera is more of a novelty item than a digital camera replacement. Working well to capture Picture IDs or phone wallpapers, anything much more will be low-quality."

Trusted Reviews reviews the Motorola PEBL and says, about the phone's camera: "It also has an integrated camera, but the resolution is a very lowly 640 x 480. That said, if all you want to do is take pictures for multimedia messages, that resolution will be more than enough. But even if Motorola had equipped the PEBL with a 2megapixel camera, that would only have highlighted this phone’s biggest limitation, it’s lack of memory." The conclusions? "Motorola’s PEBL is a beautifully designed and constructed phone that will appeal to the style conscious consumer. It’s far from feature packed, and the lack of internal memory will severely limit the use of the features that it does have. However, if you’re looking for a small and stylish phone to - god forbid – actually make phone calls, the PEBL should be high on your list."

O'Grady's PowerPage reviews the Motorola PEBL V6 and concludes, "Overall the PEBL is comfortable and impressive. The speakerphone is loud and clear (a pet peeve of mine) and the bundled software is impressive. I tend to be a QWERTY guy and prefer more of a smartphone these days, but hey, that's just me. If you're looking for a sweet flip phone with high speed EDGE data support then you should definitely check out the PEBL."
