Motorola MOTORAZR Maxx Ve Reviews

Infosync reviews the Motorola RAZR Maxx Ve and writes, "The camera on the MOTORAZR Maxx Ve was better than most camera phones we've tested, perhaps owing to the autofocus feature. Colors were bright and accurate, and details were fairly sharp. We did notice some aberration around the edges of objects in photos, but overall we thought the 2-megapixel sensor did a fine job. Videos were okay, certainly better than many cameras we've seen, with a sharp focus and good color. Still, we noticed a lot of digital artifacting on videos, even played back at QVGA resolution."

CNET reviews the Motorola Razr Maxx Ve and writes, "The Razr Maxx Ve includes a 2-megapixel camera that takes pictures in four resolutions: 1,600x1,200; 1,280x960; 640x480; 320x240; and a special size for photo caller ID. Editing options are plentiful and include a self-timer, brightness and white balance controls, three color effects, 10 fun frames, and a digital zoom. The flash is quite bright and as previously mentioned, it's about time we see one on a Razr. The autofocus is another good addition, but you can use the aforementioned control on the hinge to focus your shots as well. On the downside, it's rather annoying that you can't activate the camera for self-portraits when the phone is closed. Instead, you must open the handset, press the camera control, then close the Razr Maxx Ve before taking your shot with the smart key on the left spine."

LaptopMag reviews the Motorola RAZR Maxx Ve and writes, "Pictures taken with the 2-MP camera were above average--but not by much. We noticed fairly bright colors with a higher level of black than we're used to. Like most cell-cams, the flash only lights subjects up to a couple of feet away, but at least the Maxx Ve has one. Motorola has added an autofocus button on the inside hinge, even though there's an autofocus function in the camera options menu. While redundant, pushing this button did improve clarity. The new autofocus preflash also produced good results, when we remembered to activate it. Note that zoomed shots are captured at a far lower resolution."
