Motorola MOTO Q q9 Reviews

Pocket-lint reviews the Motorola Q9 and writes, "unlike the BlackBerry, the Motorola Q 9 offers a microSD slot which is hot swappable and will certainly appeal to those hoping to take advantage of the phones MP3 player capabilities, or 2 megapixel camera (there's an additional front facing camera for video calling). ... To be honest all you have to know is that it runs without glitches, is adequate in its performance and has enough memory to get you started with the multimedia features of the handset."

TechDigest has a review of the Motorola MOTO Q 9h and writes, "Images from the two megapixel camera measure 1,600x1,200 pixels. The results were reasonable, but not fantastic. It'll shoot video too, but you're limited to 320x240 resolution at 15fps. ... The MOTO Q9 h has solid multimedia credentials and the keyboard is reasonably fast and accurate to type on. However, it is large for a phone and the navigation can be a bit fiddly at times."

CNET UK reviews the Motorola Q 9 and writes, "The picture quality from the 2-megapixel camera was, as expected, not great and most pictures looked blurry when printed out at full size. Looking at pictures and videos on the Q 9's screen, however, was good and you can use Sling Media's SlingPlayer Mobile in conjunction with a Slingbox to watch your TV on it too."

Trusted Reviews reviews the Motorola Q9 and writes, "It is more than likely it will find a home here though, as it has some enticing specifications. It runs Windows Mobile 6 and is Quad-band with HSDPA at up to 3.6Mbps. You won’t find a UK operator offering more than 1.8Mbps at the moment, but there’s nothing like a bit of future-proofing, is there? It has 96MB of RAM and 256MB of internal storage memory and a microSD card slot is on the upper left edge of the casing. A 2-megapixel camera with flash caters for shooting photos and video, the latter at 30 frames a second. Very annoyingly given that little list, there is Bluetooth but no Wi-Fi."

RegHardware reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "it's the sound quality that really impresses when you playback your MP3, WMA and AAC files. The built-in speaker handles difficult songs well, even at the highest volume, and it's possible to stand the device up and use it as a mini-stereo. There's also Bluetooth support for a wireless stereo headset, using A2DP and AVRCP technology. The phone also boasts a 2-megapixel camera – something that a BlackBerry shuns for corporate security reasons."

MobileBurn reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "the camera in the Q 9h is certainly not for the photography enthusiast. Images were acceptable in good lighting conditions, but a lot of digital noise was introduced when the sun went down. Most images come out blurry, but this is to be expected from a non-autofocus lens. White balance is encouraging, with the device making good decisions in most conditions, though a yellow tint did find its way into a few images. Video recording quality is a similar affair: the results were acceptable, though jittery video and poor sound quality mean you will only want to rely on the Q 9h as a camera at a pinch."

CNET Australia reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "The onboard 2-megapixel camera had pretty average results, especially indoors or in low light conditions. A 3-megapixel camera would not go astray (and is fast becoming commonplace in higher-end phones), but as the Q 9h is catering to a business audience it is understandably omitted."

IT Reviews reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "There is 256MB of flash memory and our review sample reported 133MB free after a hard reset. You can add more with microSD cards. A 2-megapixel camera sits on the back of the casing. There is no front-facing camera, so video calling is out of the question."

Laptop Mag reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "Don't expect too much from the 2-MP camera. Although it captures sharper images than the Q music's 1.3-MP camera--and did so with very little shutter delay--they're not exactly print-worthy. On the plus side, the short range-flash came in pretty handy when we snapped some photos at a Halloween party. A 176 x 144-pixel video clip we recorded of moving traffic looked grainy and pixelated during playback on the Moto Q global's screen, nevermind a bigger monitor."

PC Mag reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "The 2-megapixel camera is inconsistent: Photos taken in our simulated daylight lab looked clear and well balanced, but I saw blur in low-light photos, and shots taken outdoors during daytime overexposed the bright areas. The video mode takes small but smooth 176-by-144 videos at 15 frames per second."

PC World reviews the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "The Q has a built-in 2-megapixel camera with lots of menu controls, including image resolution, brightness, white balance, flash, and up to 8X digital zoom. But I was disappointed in the high-res images I captured: They were grainy and fuzzy on my PC, even those that looked good on the Q's much smaller screen."

Trusted Reviews has a review of the Motorola Q 9h and writes, "There's no Wi-Fi capability, for instance, and no GPS. Disappointingly the phone has only a 2-megapixel camera and, despite its fast HSDPA data, no accompanying VGA video call camera either. The screen is a small 2.4in 320 x 240 one, despite the wide chassis, and the processor and memory complement - a 200MHz ARM chip and 64MB RAM - don't look particularly generous."
