LG KF600 Reviews

Mobile Choice UK reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "For a touch-screen phone, the KF600 is easy to use, but it achieves this by mimicking a regular phone interface. As a result, you don’t get the large display benefits of other touch-screen phones. It’s still good fun though, and well thought out...Aside from the slow data speeds for web browsing, the KF600 is a good all-round performer and the camera takes decent snaps."

3G reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "We’ve wound up rather liking the KF600 despite its little quirks and flaws. It’s a good looking phone that’s easy to use for a touch display device, even though it achieves this by embracing a traditional user interface, which would still arguably be easy."

CNET Australia reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "For a 3-megapixel camera we expected it to be a little sharper but it didn't perform as well as we expected, particularly in low light due to the lack of a xenon flash. There is an LED photo light, but you shouldn't expect it to illuminate your photos. That said, if you just want to take photos for MMS messages and small prints, it does the job."

Mirror reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "Looks-wise, the handset is pretty sharp, featuring a smoked glass fascia with stylish chrome trim, while animated themes by legendary New York artist Keith Haring add to its cred. The KF600 packs in a reasonable three megapixel camera with flash and auto focus, but it loses marks for not having 3G connectivity. So, if you want to surf you’ll have to make do with the slower EDGE network...While the touchscreen is innovative and intuitive, it’s sometimes annoyingly unresponsive. The KF600 is also a bit of a slowcoach – starting up an application seems to take an age, and there’s a serious shutter-lag issue when taking pics with the camera."

Register Hardware reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "The camera is capable of capturing some finely detailed shots, with quite vibrant colour rendition. Its automatic metering system adjusts quickly to changing lighting conditions and exposure is generally good. In low light levels, the performance isn’t quite so good, and the flash option could be better – it is bright for short-range shots, but doesn’t illuminate with much finesse."

Trusted Reviews has a review of the LG KF600 and writes, "The camera has an autofocus mode that you can turn on or off, plus there's a burst mode, macro mode and image stabilisation among its features. There is a maximum stills resolution of 3-megapixels...Shots were variable in quality. On its auto settings the handset fared worst indoors, perking up considerably outdoors where the ambient light is better."

MobileBurn reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "The camera interface is attractive and intuitive, you can tap on the InteractPad to take pictures instead of using the less ergonomic shutter key that is located on the side. Focusing normally takes just under 2 seconds, and the shutter lag is another second, but saving pictures can take up to 5 seconds. The camera start-up time is an acceptable 2 seconds and there is no lag when browsing the options in the camera menu. If you don't want to wait for the AF, you can switch the camera to a pan-focus mode, similar to that found on some Samsung phones. The KF600's anti-shake feature sounds good on paper, but in actual usage we have not noticed a dramatic difference from it. The KF600 is capable of taking 3GPP videos at QVGA resolution, 15fps, but don't expect too much from the quality."

IT Reviews has a review of the LG KF600 and writes, "When you are in the phone's main screen the InteractPad offers shortcuts to messaging, contacts, missed and made calls and profiles. When you are in the music player it gives you playback controls. If you are using the phone's camera it lets you capture images, tweak the camera controls and so on...The temptation to tap at the main screen as well as the InteractPad is great and this can become something of a nuisance, but if you can overcome that then the phone's ergonomics work well...As for the general phone capability, the KF600 is a tri-band mobile and the application suite is quite strong. It includes a Web browser, calendar, alarm clock, calculator, stopwatch, voice recorder and FM radio as well as music player and 3-megapixel camera. There is 40MB of built-in memory and a microSD card slot so you can add more."

IT Voir reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "The 3mega pixel camera provides you with many settings but is not good if pixel count or resolution is calculated. It can not be rewarded as the great camera phone performance wise...The very disappointing factor of this phone is that it is 2.5G compatible when the people are looking forward to 3G. The battery back up is also not very impressive. It provides 2.5 hours talk time and 200 hours of stand by. The other disappointing features are presence of uncomfortable keypad, haptic feedback is not efficient and touch screen is also disappointing."

Pocket-lint reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "As mobile phones go, the KF600 has had the whole treatment; you can’t help but have seen the advertising campaign. But does this phone, like it’s screen, suffer from a split personality? Is this Romeo and Juliet or Jekyll and Hyde? We take a closer look...The InteractPad changes as you roam around the phone’s features, for example the in music player and the camera, presenting specific control options. When viewing the pictures you snap with the 3 megapixel camera, the InteractPad can be used to control the zoom, meaning you can easily look in more detail at your pictures – perhaps getting round the fact that the main screen is only 2 inches."

LetsGoMobile reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "The integrated digital camera in the LG KF600 offers 3.0 Megapixels of resolution. Furthermore, the LG KF600 features flash and auto focus functions. The settings for the camera are somewhat restricted, besides a self-timer and multi-shot, the only relevant options for the camera are the resolution, quality and colour effects (sepia, black&white and negative). When you take a picture with the LG KF600, the captured picture remains visible on the screen. In order to take the next picture, the application has to start all over again. That is why it's not possible to shoot sequentially, and that might be very annoying at times. The picture quality of the LG KF600 is reasonable. Occasionally the colours aren't bright enough which makes it look like you have made a picture of a picture. To prevent blurred pictures you can select 'reduce jitter' in the settings menu. This option allows for taking a clear picture when the camera moves slightly. It's a positive feature in itself if it weren't for the electronic stabilization that requires a higher ISO sensitivity thus causing more noise in the photos."

Connected Internet reviews the LG KF600 and writes, "What disappointed me the most about the LG KF600 though were the camera and the screen. The camera and screen on the LG Viewty are fantastic. However the camera on the KF600 is only 3MP and combined with the tiny 2″ screen, in my view this just isn’t good enough for a multimedia handset."
