HTC P4550 Kaiser Reviews
Trusted Reviews reviews the HTC P4550 Kaiser and writes, "the camera has been upgraded to three megapixels in this release (though there's no flash or mirror). You can get pretty good results with this outdoors and in good light, but it doesn't compare to the camera you get on a Sony CyberShot phone like the K800i, and the lack of flash means its usefulness indoors is limited. ... the tilting screen is more than just a gimmick for geeks to drool over. It makes browsing websites and typing emails more comfortable because you don't have to tilt the phone at an unnatural angle to see the screen. And because the screen can be tilted to any angle between zero and 45 degrees it's far less prone to reflections than one that's horizontally fixed in place. It also means you can lay the P4550 on a table and jab away at the keyboard with your fingers rather than thumbs without having to crouch over the screen like a Tour de France racer hunched over the bars on a time trial bike."
OS News reviews the HTC P4550 Kaiser and writes, "The autofocus camera takes "ok" pictures too, but it comes without a flash light. HTC forces the camera app to be in "night mode" automatically when it detects low light (there is no option to turn that on/off). The software for the camera allows for a number of preferences, which will please users who want more control. The phone also records 3GP and MP4 QVGA and QCIF videos that can later playback via Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. Unfortunately, the resulted mp4 videos are not compatible with Quicktime (other phones' mp4 files are), but they are compatible with VLC."
IT Reviews reviews the HTC P4550 Kaiser and writes, "The camera on the back of the casing shoots stills at up to 3-megapixels, though it lacks a flash or self portrait mirror...The TyTN II is a quad-band handset with 3G and HSDPA and there is a front-facing camera for video calling...And there is a business card scanner that uses the main camera, which could come in handy."
IT Week reviews the HTC P4550 "Kaiser" (HTC TyTN II) and writes, "The device features a three megapixel camera for capturing high-resolution images and video, plus a lower resolution (VGA) user-facing camera for videoconferencing...The TyTN’s three megapixel camera enables users to snap pictures up to 1536 x 2048 in size but is somewhat slow at capturing images, taking several seconds once the shutter button is pressed. It can also capture video using the same application."
Pocket-lint reviews the HTC P4550 "Kaiser" (HTC TyTN II) and writes, "The reason for its weight is that the TyTN II packs in so much. Powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6, it sports HSPDA connectivity, built-in GPS, a 3 megapixel camera on the back and another on the front, MicroSD card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity and of course a slide out QWERTY keyboard. "
PC Pro reviews the HTC P4550 "Kaiser" (HTC TyTN II) and writes, "The 3-megapixel camera has a proper moving lens, coupled with a half-press shutter button. The picture quality is excellent, although the lack of a flash limits indoor use. As the phone supports 3G video calling, there's an additional lower-resolution video camera just above the screen."
CNET Australia reviews the HTC TyTN II and writes, "For business users looking specifically for a Windows Mobile device the choice between handsets is much harder than in other areas of mobile phones. Most have the best connectivity options available, most have the most popular input options, including touchscreens, and most are on the wrong side of enormous and suffer poor battery life. Moreover, with the majority of these PDA-phones priced between AU$900 and AU$1,100, the choice may come down to aesthetics alone."
