Carphone Warehouse says digital camera is dead - Camera Phones to take over
'The Carphone Warehouse's UK Chief Executive, Andrew Harrison, today cautioned the future success of digital cameras. “Cameraphones now make up over 70% of mobile phone sales, with 2 megapixel cameraphones due to hit the market later this year. The future's cameraphones, not digital cameras.” said Mr Harrison.
The independent mobile phone retailer issued its third quarter trading update yesterday, which included sales of 1.4 million cameraphones.'
