Camera Phones waging war on Digital Cameras
Despite some negative or outright pessimistic predictions by the Digital Camera camp, Camera Phones are winning ground.
"During the Seoul Digital Forum 2004, Derek Lidow, chief executive of U.S.-based high-tech consultant iSuppli, foretold the pixel count war would finish at 2 megapixels."Unlike Digital Cameras, people tend to carry their phones with them everywhere and with almost every model sporting a camera these days, snapping off shots is easier than ever. Even the average user wants more power and function from the camera in their phone. Higher resolution and megapixels being the the foremost. People want to be able to take quality pictures they can share an print, and with 7 megapixel cameras on the horizon the Digital Camera companies are going to have some serious competition.
