Although I am Canadian, I will call it straight down the middle and be as honest as I possible can. To tell you the truth Ryan Malcolm has a uncomparible unique classic rock & roll style to his singing ability, when you listen to him sing "Try" or even "He ain't Heavy, he's my brother" among others, it is so surreal that it's scary. He is very passionate in what he does, after all he's been singing most of his life. Just like Guy Sebastian, Ryan likes to goof around, he has a awesome attitude and i'm sure he and Guy will be the best of friends, just as much as Clay Aiken is to Ryan as well. So far i've listened to Guy Sebastian, Kelly Clarkson, and Will Young, and although I have yet to hear the others, I will give out my imput on these three contestants.
Guy Sebastian:
Perhaps has the best chance to win World Idol, and definately has my vote, I especially love the song "Angels brought me Here" I was very impressed by his singing ability, he can hit any range with his voice
Kelly Clarkson:
Just like Guy Sebastian, Kelly can take her voice to any range. She is another favourite of mine, after all she is the first American Idol, and I find her very appealing.
Will Young:
You can hardly tell he has an english accent when he sings. It has that smooth tone to his style, very much like british 80's sensation George Michael. Although he is a faboulous singer i'm not entirely a big fan.

People of the world, may we Canadians recommend our very own Ryan Malcolm? He may not be Billy Klippert (my city (Calgary, Alberta)'s CI finalist, nice rock sound but would probably be anniliated at WI) or Gary Beals (Ugh, no...think Ruben Studdard singing gospel songs, and then take off 150 pounds...actually no, make that 200 and you get the picture) But he is Canadianariffic!
I have listened to "Something More" a few times, and my heart truly flutters in delight every time I hear it. It is truly touching, and to play a word pun, is truly "Something More". Now since I can't vote for Ryan, I will listen to the other Idols closely, including Kelly Clarkson. My vote(s) are up in the air, so anyone can get a piece of them.
But regardless, world, RYAN MALCOLM is where it is at. He's conquered Canada, so won't you help him conquer the world? This guy is truly "something more", so give him a chance...You will NOT regret it.

OMG. To (some of) my fellow Aussies, why the hell are you disrespecting or rudely insulting other Pop Idols? Yes, Guy is talented and I personally think he has what it takes vocally to kick ass in World Idol. But, it's downright embarassing to see some people going on idiotically saying 'Guy kicks all your asses... blah blah, the other pop idols suck and are not talented... etc.etc'
Sheesh, think before you post. Obviously a Pop Idol has to be talented to have earned the title.

Hello to all.
Did it ever occur to you that the world is big enough for more than one "Idol"? Wouldn't it be most delightful if we could have ten extraordinary vocal performances ever for the World Idol? If we could buy five or ten albums made by World Idol contestants and truly enjoy listening to all of them?
So I wish not that we hear nine OK songs and one knockdown song. Though it is natural if I support Guy because he comes from my country, I will gladly buy albums of others who touch my heart. And if we could have more than one idol, we'd have more great music to enjoy.
So please do not forget: it is about music more than anything else. Please do not turn it into something it is not supposed to be. And vote for anyone who touches your heart with his/her singing.

Hey Everyone! Firstly, I need to say that I am the BIGGEST Kelly Clarkson fan. However, after listening to Guy Sebastian from Australia I believe that he has a great chance of winning WI. Both Kelly and Guy truly have voices from heaven. I'm not the biggest fan of Will Young because vocally he doesn't seem to be able to get near the notes that Guy can get to. But hey, its a world event that will hopefully bring people together so it should be a great night. God bless you all.

i'm a total Guy fan since i come from Australia. i think he has a great voice. And i agree that other people from Australia shouldn't say bad things about the other countries idols.
i listened to music from the other idols and i think that some of them are really good that it will be hard to choose which one i want to vote for in WI. [i wish i could vote for Guy]

i think that in this comettition every single contestant will have a chance at the title of 'world idol'.
i'm from Australia and so far i have heard Guy (obviously), Kelly, Will and Alicja.i still haven't had a chance to listen to the other compettitors but i am sure they are very talented. I have heard Guy many times and even went to meet him and hear him sing live on tour, he's a great Guy wif a geat voice. Then there's Kelly who has a gorgeous voice and from what i know is really nice.Then when i heard Alicja who is in the betting for i think 15/2 i was suprised at the difference between her and Kelly who is coming first. Alicja has a strong and really great voice and she seems like a great girl , so i think that so far it's popularity because in actual fact Kelly and Alicja dont' differ in TALENT at all. Now when i heard Will, i don't know if it's just me but he's pretty plain. Apart from being pretty cute i din't see much in him.
So theres my opinion...but that's just me, i am not criticising anyone and i am 100% sure that will will see absoulte talent on December 24th.

All i have to say is GUY,GUY,GUY,GUY,GUY,GUY!!!!!he is the most talented singer i've ever heard in my life, the amount of notes he can hit with his voice is amazing. i seriously have heard nothing like it before, i'm sure all the others are great but sorry, guy is the best...

... and I think its good that guys singing What a wonderful world... I know that climb every mountain was the peak of his performances which made us all emotional because he did such a beautiful job of it... but wonderful world is a very happy song and its MY ABSOLUTE FAVE guy song eva... so i'll know he will do an even more beautiful and flawless performance with a song that he's more comfortable with (and we all know how embarrassed he was over the fact that he cried while singing a julie andrews song... remember?)

I'm keeping Guy Sebastian on top of my list, just as I am with Kelly Clarkson and Alexander Klaws. So people outside of Canada, please take the time to listen to Ryan Malcolm. Trust me when you hear him you'll be blown away by his performances, he's got the voice, the charisma and the moves to be a star. He's the very reason why classic rock N roll isn't dead anymore. =)

A message to my fellow Australians : Listen to the other idols first.
If Guy wins then what a fucked up world we live in, absoloutely fucked up. Not that he is bad but the other idols IMO are better and for a fact have had the experience.
