wedding bells

13 March, 2003 4:25 PM

Am marrying a couple on Saturday and am looking for any creative ideas people might have on some words of encouragement for them in the ceremony. I have a number of different wedding talks - however at this wedding am looking for something fresh. Any thought appreciated.

I am assuming that you have the songs that the couple want. My Grandfather who is also a minister based his sermon for Mum's wedding on a song they had called Potter's Hand (Hillsongs if you are not familiar with it). It was really good and revelant to the couple as they had chosen the song.

This is not a suggestion- just sharing. My wedding was in English and Spanish - the pastor who performed most of it was not legal in Puerto Rico, so when the legal aspect came, another pastopr friend of mine took over, then in Spanish translated into english.

I know of a pastor who call both sets of parents and make them promise that they would not get into the new family private issues.
