Today is my lovely V's birthday.
I don't talk a lot about her here on this blog. Its not because I don't care deeply for her - its because of a need for some anonymity with work.
Many people think I call her 'V' here because I don't want to identify her by real name - its partly true - but I also do call her 'V'. Actually I do it so much that this morning when I gave her her birthday card with her real name on it she asked me why I had? She calls me 'D' (as do many of my friends now). Together we are DV...(digital video?)...(not VD)....hmmm
I'm rambling a little today.
V is amazing. She is one of the most compassionate people I know - she has so much energy for people and living life to the full. I won't go on for fear of embarressing her - except to say that I love her dearly.
Happy birthday V!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. It has been a great day so far with phonecalls and emails from friends and I have just come back from a lunch with 3 close girlfriends. Thanks to D as well for his kind and thoughtful words and the presents!

Happy Birthday to V!
Women tend to get sentimental on their birthdays. They need a lot of cherish and love and celebration on this special day!
Be nice to her and do something she really likes and not what you like.
Some husbands will buy their wives things that will only cause them another trip to the shop to return them. Don't do this to V.
Nothing's too much on a woman's birthday. She'll pay every bit back in the following year if you go an extra effort to make her happy.
