There were some enlightening comments posted under my Jihad post. I've found it a real challenge to think this one through but am glad I'm spending the time on it as its such an important topic for discussion at the moment. If you have any more to add before I write up this paper tomorrow they'd be greatly appreciated.

I was reading through your blog and couldnt help laughing at your comment about how Muslim and Christian blogs have the same templates and Blogger crosses boundaries that way :) But I'm glad to know you've reached an insight into life as a Muslim, especially when so many media stereotypes and they-are-terrorists feelings prevail. I hope that you benefit from these blogs, learning more about Islaam and it's beauty and way of life from the inside =) And esp. from females, who have long been thought of as subjugated and whatnot as Muslims. Hmm maybe I'll post something soon on my fav. topic: women and islam. it's beautiful and makes me glad to be a muslim woman!

Well, it's always good to know when someone tries to get the true theme of Islam ...

Are you for real or is this just a cheap shot at getting hits and causing a bit of a stir!?

Sarah: Why so incredulous? And why should this cause a stir? What's so unusual about trying to understand what another person believes and why s/he believes as they do? Would it be different (read: better, more acceptable) if Darren were to say he was researching Judaism or Scientology? Why?

People talkin' to people. Why should that cause a stir...
