Everyday Spirituality Tour of My Life

19 April, 2006 5:42 PM

Tonight at LivingRoom we're doing another Everyday Spirituality Tour and tonight it's my turn to take the group on a tour of my life. For those unfamiliar with the concept I've written about them here and here previously.

Tonight's tour will start at our place and then progress to a local Vietnamese restaurant that V and I enjoy just down the road where we'll have dinner.

After dinner we'll come back to our place for a walk through my daily life - largely focussed around my computer and blogs. I'll be telling the story of how I came to be a blogger and how I've transitioned from a full time 'minister' to a full time 'blogger' and how in doing so I've discovered God at work in some rather unlikely places! The irony is that somedays I find myself involved in more effective 'ministry' than I felt I was doing as a minister!

Then we'll take a look at some of the photos I've taken in the last few months (another place I find God moving around me lately and an activity that I find leads me to worship).

Along the way we'll hopefully stop for prayer.

Should be a fun night

How about giving us a virtual tour?

I love your blog! It is awesome to see how God is leading you guys and working through you! I love seeing how God is challenging us in similar things and having us ask many of the same questions across cultures, languages, time zones, etc...

Blessings in all you do!

we didn't take any shots on the night but it was pretty much as I outlined above.

people came to our place and had a bit of a tour of our house (some hadn't been here since we moved).

Then we walked down the street for a Vietnamese meal (yum).

Then we walked back and I had my computer set up in our living room and I walked everyone through the blogs I run (my job) and talked about what I do but also how I see God working in, through and around me as I work.

I also showed some photos that I'd taken over th last 6 months (some of which you can see in my flickr account - see my sidebar for links to some of my photos).

The group then prayed for me and we finished the night with some muffins (V made them) and peppermint tea.

It was certainly a great night. Hey D, I meant to say it was a 'fun' night rather than a 'funny' night hehe.
