Why do Bloggers Blog? Is there some underlying thread of motivation that we all share? This is the introduction for a 6 part series on how to blog in a way that brings lasting change.
Each blogger writes for their own unique set of reasons and motivations. Some do so as a hobby, others to express their creativity....

I resonate with the idea of "bringing change" (whether consciously or unconsciously). I'm looking forwad to see how this series develops.

Interesting thoughts. I've never really thought much about the influence my blog has. I'll be interested in reading your future posts...

A very thought provoking post Darren. I'll be looking forward to what follows. I wonder how much some of us will be influenced and changed by your efforts?

hmmm, not really interested in blogging for change. i just like the online social interaction with other, perhaps like-minded, bloggers. sharing of experiences and occasional snarks and whinges, the more humourous the better.
but i'm open, gonna come back and check up and see what you come up with :-)

I think that your classifications of bloggers are rigid...but I don't want to distract from your point that some people blog for explicit influence.
It will be interesting to see if public speaking tools work within a text model. Blog on!
