Update: Cosima Withdraws from the Show!
Paulini is in the thick of controversy again. Last night the two male judges, Dicko and Mark Holden, both criticized her dress - one took it a step further and told her to 'shed some pounds' if she was going to pull off a dress like she wore. Of course today talk back radio and the evening current affair programs went into a frenzy over the issue. I reckon this will guarantee Paulini gets through at least to the next round as Australia once again reacts against the comments of the judges. We'll find out tonight.
I reckon there will be some new judges on Australian Idol II.
I still think my theories on the voting system are having an impact.
Update: As I suspected - Paulini got through. Apparently there were more votes tonight than ever before. Rob (Millsy) was voted out. Good decision Australia.

Jac reckons Millsy went because the judges said 'good job, well done' rather than attack him and give him a platform to respond. It was a bad outfit.

Has anyone noticed that the Australian Idol series if following the exact same script as the American series. English nasty judge, bagging Girl for her weight etc etc, reality TV methinks not.

well i toataly agree dicko speaks his mind to much but he is allowed but not to the point were you have to say "shed some pounds" i thought she looked great in that dress and if big people choose to be big wll that there choice dicko has no right to say that at all

I believe that the contestants should be judged on their alent and not what they look like, even though image does play a vital part in the industry the singes need to be able to sing and milsy couldnt thats why he went. Paulini your the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Paulini looked really 'divaish' in the gold dress. But Dicko was right about one thing, when she sang the song it was a bit breathy which could prove that she is not entirley 'physically fit" when she moves AND sings. She is a true RnB diva and I can't wait for her album to hurry up. Just think about it... does Dicko look any better in it than Paulini???

Anyone that picks on how Paulini looks doesn't deserve to be looking at her. She's like a solar eclipse - so hot you can barely look at her directly. With a voice to match she became my Idol from the 70's themed show (didn't pay much attention beforehand). I didn't think her performance was "breathless and horrid" - in everyday life and ESPECIALLY when singing if you run out of air, you take a breath!
Any red blooded man would love to hold Paulini as tightly as that dress did - the only exceptions being that softcock Mark Holden and that dickhead Dicko (please excuse my french, it is being used for shock value only).

The performance was a bit "breathless", but it was a song sung by 3 people, which had to be sung by one person. It didn't sound bad, just natural.

This is EXACTLY what they wanted. They create some controversy which makes people pissed off and spend their money ringing to vote. So the biggest number of people voted? Sounds like their little plan worked. Made then all a little richer because they know how to play with the emotions of people and get them to react and line their pockets.
They'll be back for Aussie idol II because they've made the show money. Controversy sells baby!
