Longer Term readers of this site will remember that around this time last year I started ' a series of posts on the Australian Idol show - it was mainly my opinion of the shows that I saw - reviews really.
I was quite surprised and overwhelmed by the response to my posts - I was in the top few search results for 'Australian Idol' on Google and got a lot of traffic (thousands of visitors some days). The posts also got a lot of comments, some pretty full on and nasty ones, to the point where I ended up having to close comments on those posts for bandwidth and moderating reasons.
Anyway - since that time my good cyber friends, Rachel and Regan, started up Idol Blog for the New Zealand Idol series. The story of what they achieved with the blog was quite remarkable. Both Rachel and Regan were regular features on radio and television, their blog was mentioned on an almost daily basis in newspapers and they ended up with over 5000 site members. Quite amazing.
This season I'm not going to be posting here about Australian Idol again - but rather am partnering with idol blog in starting Australian Idol Blog.
So if you're an Aussie wanting to follow the show - head over. Sign up as a member and contribute in forums, get the weekly newsletter on the show and keep up with the latest news. The show kicked off last night so we're still setting things up, but we hope it will be a fun and interactive site.
What will the Australian Idol Results be who will be the winner? I'd tip Courtney, Casey, Anthony or Hayley as possible winners.

The only musical talent in the judging line up is Marcia Hines why would you put a cheating jigolo ex janitor with no talent nor manners in your line up at least he gave jenny craig a go for about a week still needs to drop about 20 kilo he then might get some credibility if he stops dribbling bullshit for a minute
you have to give the droob some credence because he chose
Mark Holden and he is the perfect stooge for him or anyone because if you looked for ten years you would never find a bigger dipshit in the world to make anyone look good
Mark could make a pile of horseshit look good next to himself the only problem Mark has is himself he wants people to think he its all a put on and behind the scenes he is a savvy record producer with a track record sorry folks marks the biggest no talent ever to have his face on tv apart from dickhead I mean dicko
in fact when the show finishes they could all go on the road together as larrie moe and curly the three stooges return from the dead if marcia got a curly wig at least it would look better than the one shes wearing(girlfriend has bad wig days) if you think about it its like a form of prostitution using the young talented kids of Australia with stars in their eyes to abuse them similiar to what pimps on the street do
they show of their wares abuse there charges verbally hurt them immeasurably ruin their lives and phsycologically choke the shit out of them shake their their egos for their own gain and live of the spoils sounds all to familiar doesnt it generally the law would arrest people with those values but its all in the name of entertainment that makes it all right
I turn it on to watch the three stooges make gigs of themselves on a weekly basis isnt it amazing they actually pay them real money for the crap that spews forth from their grubby mouths
every kid that has has had the fortitude to appear on that show I have watched you all and you are all beautiful young Australians
you may not all make it in music but I respect you for your guts and determination to put yourself in the firing line of a few no talents (except for Marcia)
pick yourselves up dust yourselves off and move on to the next part of your journey in whatever area you choose
If you are prepared to take unqualified cricism of a negative nature you from a contrived american reverse phsycology money making format you can show all of your friends and family the reason why Australians are per head per capita the smartest most talented Nation in the world in business music and sport and anything else we tackle with enthusiasm
remember stay positive and true to yourself and your future goals
to the talented Assies who have endured and are now making a name and a living
Congratulations
Marcia Hines is a great Australian and one of the great talents in Australian Music history I had the pleasure to work with her in the 70s she alone gives the show credibility without her it would have none
Words can hurt or bring immeasurable pleasure I am pleased to say that at least Marcias criticisms are valid fair and realistic

i believe that your show has a great impact on children. because of her show we now have a pine idol at my school at pine rivers in strathpine. it has worked out great. my sister is a big fan of your show, she is only seven and loves singing
anthony, casey and chanel are my favourit out of all of the idol contestants
